ABOUT THE BOOK

SPYHUNTER

The Secret History of German Intelligence

Spyhunter is the only published history of the Deutscherverteidigungsdienst (DVD), the covert agency set up by Admiral Wilhelm Canaris in 1943, after German defeats in the Battles of the Atlantic and the Kursk Salient. Canaris and the Gestapo chief, Muller, faked their deaths in 1945. The world’s most powerful intelligence agency, the DVD went on to control the UN, assassinate President Kennedy and install its man Saddam Hussein in Iraq.

Part 1 explains how Michael came to be involved at a high level in the secretive world of intelligence.  Part 2 is a history of German intelligence prior to 1945, including the shootdown and murder of Amelia Earhart, and Part 3 covers the DVD itself.

The book probably features in the libraries of most intelligence agencies. The postwar world cannot be explained without understanding the DVD.

The Author

No person living has greater knowledge or experience of the covert German DVD than Michael Shrimpton. His discovery of its existence in 1998 nearly cost him his life, as they tried to assassinate him the following year with the banned chemical weapon saxitoxin. He survived, but was left with a lifelong blood disorder.
